Greek Wine Tasting Under the Acropolis

1.5 hours · Intimate group · 8–10 guests · Wine & mezze included

4.91.5 hours8–10 people

The best introduction to Greek wine I've found in Athens — six curated glasses with a certified sommelier who actually knows his region-by-region map of Greek viticulture. Assyrtiko, Xinomavro, Agiorgitiko: names you'll be able to pronounce and recognize by the end. The setting is one of the most photographed tasting rooms in Athens — and for good reason.

Dimitris' Tips

The afternoon session (around 5pm) has the best light through the tasting room windows.
Ask about the Santorini Assyrtiko — the volcanic terroir explanation is fascinating.
This is ideal as a warm-up to a dinner reservation. Ends early enough to head straight out.
They sell bottles. Grab a Xinomavro if you can get it past customs.
